Fit, not filters
Find the right game for this group, right now.
Instantly find the perfect board game for any vibe. Board Game Library helps casual players discover better games without the guesswork, research spiral, or filtering homework.
Hi, I'm Dewey, the library cat! Help us build the smartest board game recommendations on the planet.
The problem
There is no fast, reliable way to pick the right board game in the moment. Game night is contextual: who is playing, how much time you have, and what kind of mood or vibe the group wants all matter.
Most people do not want to research. They have a few familiar favorites, but modern board games have exploded into thousands of better options. The gap is not a lack of great games. It is that there is no easy way in.
In one line
We help casual players discover better games without the guesswork.
What we do
A discovery engine for real moments.
Instead of asking users to learn the hobby, Board Game Library meets them where they are: who is playing, how much time they have, what kind of experience they want, and what will actually work for the table.
Group fit
Player count, kids at the table, and social dynamics.
Time fit
Session length, setup friction, and teach time.
Complexity fit
Instantly jump in versus deeper strategic investment.
Vibe fit
Relaxed, strategic, chaotic, competitive, cooperative, and more.
Why it works
Most recommendation systems optimize for popularity or ratings. We optimize for fit. Using structured signals from real players, recommendations can stay familiar enough to say yes and different enough to feel better.
One great recommendation builds trust. One game becomes two. A shelf becomes a collection. A casual player becomes an engaged one because the first experience landed.
The data flywheel
Players share preferences and recent play details. That structured data improves the recommendation engine. Better recommendations bring more players, more contribution, and a richer understanding of what makes games fun for different groups.
Built by Everly Games
Hi, I'm Nate.
I founded Everly Games in 2021 as a side hustle. Board games became a meaningful part of my life during a season of grief after my wife and I's first daughter, Everly, was born with a rare condition and lived for only three weeks.
I started a gaming group, filled a shelf full of games, binged podcasts, and tried my hand at designing my own board games. Board Game Library sits at the intersection of my experience in data, product, UX, and game design.
I live near Nashville with my family and our horde of dogs, cats, and chickens. I am building Board Game Library to help more people find games that fit their group, mood, and moment.
